This week we'll be interviewing one of our new Booksellers, UMF student and theater mogul Margeaux DePue!

KB: So Margaux, if you had to spend a year inside a book which book would it be?
Margaux: OMG! That's kind of a scary question. It would have to be one of the Narnia books. That would just be a blast. Childhood favorite of mine.
KB: What book, if you heard a friend disparage it, would make you rethink your friendship?
Margaux: Let me see. I would have to say House of Leaves. I had a fight about that with someone the other day. Also Jane Eyre, I know its not a favorite among a lot of my peers, maybe it's how its taught.
KB: Okay, Who was the most fun evil villain you've run into lately?
Margaux: There are just so many. It's hard to pinpoint just one. Well, Richard the III. He's very aware of his actions, and sometimes he even surprises himself.
KB: Does your theater experience influence your experience as a reader?
Margaux: Definitely. Being in plays you read a lot of scripts and that leads you to other pieces of literature. I think being in theater helps you develop a broad sense of literacy and what it means to be literate.
KB: Thanks Margaux!
