This week we're debuting a new occasional feature, The Weekly Top 2 Questions. Two of our top teen readers, Ally West, and Elisabeth Stancioff, pictured to the right, welcomed the opportunity to show us how it's done.
KB: Is there a book which, if someone didn't like it you would have to rethink your friendship?
Ally: Definitely Water For Elephants. It was a really, really good book. I would have to think, what's wrong with you.
Elisabeth: If someone didn't like Catcher in the Rye I would definitely wonder what was going on.
KB: If you were a powerful evil villain which book would you force people to read?
Ally: Definitely House on Mango Street. I think you learn more about yourself when you read it.
Elisabeth: I would make everyone read and analyze Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. Also, Ender's Game.
KB: Good call. Thanks!
Here they are! Our weekly picks for the two best: two hardcover, two paperback, and two children's books. The very best new arrivals to leap out of the box and onto our shelves this week. Call or email us if you want more information on any of these titles, or to have us hold you a copy. Or stop in and check them out in person. We'd love to see you. Thanks as always for sharing your reading with us!
