This series is just outstanding. Flawed, compelling characters, realistic loose ends, powerful societal issues, and unexpected plot turns abound! A stupendously good, dark novel, from a surprising source! Well yes Henning Mankell is awesome but... An oldie, true, but... This series is a seriously satisfying blend of history, depth, and hard boiled character
